Some European countries, including Denmark, decided to suspend the administration of the AstraZeneca vaccine as a precautionary measure due to fears of blood clot formation in immunized individuals.
The AFP news agency reported that the Danish National Health Agency explained that it did so as a precautionary measure after reports of severe cases of blood clot formation in patients who had received the vaccine.
The agency stated that, for now, it cannot be concluded that there is a link between the vaccine and the blood clots.
Estonia, Lithuania, Litonia, and Luxembourg have done the same due to the alert regarding the vaccine's possible side effects.
Last Monday, Austria announced that it had stopped using a batch of the pharmaceutical company's vaccine due to the death of a nurse from severe coagulation disorders days after being vaccinated.
