The COVID-19 vaccination process in Mexico City (CDMX) will begin the immunization of older adults residing in the Venustiano Carranza borough, as announced by the Head of Government, Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, during a virtual press conference.

The president added that, in addition to vaccinating in said borough, the second dose of the Russian Sputnik V substance will be administered in:

  • Tláhuac
  • Xochimilco
  • Iztacalco

When should I get vaccinated if I live in Venustiano Carranza?

As in other boroughs, the application of the COVID vaccine in the Venustiano Carranza borough will be carried out in alphabetical order, according to the initial of the paternal surname.

  • A and B: March 17
  • C, D, and E: March 18
  • F and G: March 19
  • H, I, J, K, and L: March 20
  • M, N, Ñ, and O: March 21
  • P, Q, and R: March 22
  • S, T, U, V, W, X, Y, Z, and stragglers: March 23

Dates for the application of the second dose in Tláhuac, Xochimilco, and Iztacalco

According to the CDMX Government's plan, the order of the second dose application of the COVID vaccine in Tláhuac, Iztacalco, and Xochimilco will be according to the date of the first dose application:

  • Those who received their first dose on February 24 should go for their second dose on March 17
  • If you received your first dose on February 25, you should return for your second dose on March 18
  • Those who received their first COVID vaccine on February 26 should get their second dose on March 19
  • Those who received their first dose on February 27 should go for their second dose on March 20
  • If you received your first dose on February 28, return for the booster on March 21
  • Those who went for their first dose on March 1 should return for the second on March 22
  • Those who received their first COVID vaccine on March 2 will return to the vaccination center on March 23
  • If you were vaccinated for the first time against COVID on March 3, you should return for the second dose on March 24
  • Those who went for their first dose on March 4 will go for the booster on March 25
  • Those who received their first dose on March 5 should return for their second dose on March 26

Requirements to receive the second dose of the COVID vaccine

Through her Twitter account, the Head of Government of CDMX clarified that for the application of the second dose of the Sputnik V vaccine in Tláhuac, Iztacalco, and Xochimilco, adults over 60 must bring the receipt they received during their first visit, as the component of the substance is different.

  • She added that each person will have an assigned vaccination unit, day, and time for their immunization appointment.

Those who benefited from the first dose will receive a text message to the number they registered, which should include:

  • Name
  • Vaccination location
  • Day
  • Time

If you do not receive this message, you can schedule your appointment at vacunacion.cdmx.gob.mx or by calling Locatel (5556581111).

If you cannot attend the appointment, the CDMX Government recommended that older adults go the next day.

On the day of your appointment, you must arrive 15 minutes early, present an official identification, and proof of address.
