Regarding the details of the vaccination plan, the Undersecretary of Prevention and Health Promotion, Hugo López-Gatell, explained that as of 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, 432,101 doses of the Covid-19 vaccine were applied nationwide.

He also reported that since the beginning of the national vaccination strategy, a total of 15,003,610 doses have been applied. Likewise, it was detailed that 4,512,826 people already have their complete vaccination schedule against the virus.

Regarding the fake vaccines seized in Campeche on March 17, the undersecretary stated that so far he can only specify that no element was identified that could put the population at risk and required issuing a health warning. Had there been, a consensus would have been reached with the Attorney General's Office to alert the population, however, the case is still under investigation.

Which anti-Covid vaccines are available in Mexico?

Mexico has approved five of the seven vaccines, currently available, to combat Covid-19, which have been administered to essential sectors, such as medical personnel and people over 60 who, due to their conditions, whether direct contact with the sick or a compromised immune system, places them in a situation of greater risk of contracting the disease.

In the coming months, other population groups will be added to the vaccination campaigns, so here we explain which biologicals you could be immunized with and how they work.

On December 24 of last year, the vaccination program began in our country. Since that date, more than 14,240,830 doses have been administered, immunizing about 3,844,491 people.
