Direct and/or Electric Steam Sterilizer (Self-Generated Steam)

Description:

The Direct and/or Electric Steam Sterilizer (Self-Generated Steam) is a fixed, recessed or cabinet-type unit that uses saturated steam under pressure as a sterilizing agent. It is ideal for sterilizing laboratory materials and objects that can withstand high temperatures and humidity (wrapped or unwrapped), such as fabrics, surgical instruments, liquids, utensils, and other items stable at temperatures from 90° to 140° C.

Design and Construction:

The chambers (internal and external) and the pressure generator are designed and manufactured with thicknesses according to the ASME code for boilers and pressure vessels, section VIII, division 1, guaranteeing the safety of the vessels.

Rectangular Chamber Construction:

• The horizontal sterilizing chamber, rear bottom, and surrounding frame are constructed from 304, 304-L, 316, or 316-L type stainless steel plate (as required) in 6.3 mm (1/4”) thickness.
• The chamber has 1 to 4 ports for validation tests (as required) welded using the inert gas procedure (TIG).
• For 1 or 2 doors, the chamber is constructed for 3.5 BAR overpressure and full vacuum and guarantees the design, manufacturing, and safety of the vessel.
• The outer chamber (jacket, chassis, and/or steam jacket) is manufactured from stainless steel plate of the required quality, whether 304, 304-L, 316, or 316-L; in 6.3 mm (1/4”) thickness.
• Frame and front panel in 304 or 316-L type Stainless Steel.
• Supplied with thermal insulation of Fiberglass and/or Mineral Wool of 1.25 Lbs. density and 25.4 mm to 50.8 mm thickness, with an aluminum sheet cover.

Manually Operated Doors with Safety System:

• Manufactured with 12.7 mm (1/2”) thick Stainless Steel plate of the required quality, 304, 304-L, 316, or 316-L. And stainless steel cover.
• Closure by means of radial Stainless Steel bars actuated by a handwheel, manufactured from enameled cast aluminum with polyurethane paint finishes (heat resistant).
• The ray-holding core has a diameter of 12.7 cm (5”).
• The door contains a silicone gasket that allows for a hermetic seal and long durability.
• It has an integrated safety system that prevents the door from opening when there is pressure in the chamber during the sterilization period and deactivates when said pressure is relieved.
• Left or right opening with left or right hinge.
