• The medical reciprocating air system is a tank-mounted design consisting of duplex oil-free piston compressors, dual air dryers with purge control, dual filtration system, dew point, and CO monitors.
• Wired control panel, all mounted on a corrosion-resistant air receiver.
• The tank-mounted package is fully integrated into the design and complies with current NFPA 99 standards.
• The tank-mounted package is provided with single-point connections for electrical, air discharge, and condensate drains. All systems are operationally tested before shipment.

Oil-free reciprocating compressor pump:

• The oil-free reciprocating air compressor pump has a completely oil-free design and does not require oil for its operation.
• Composite piston technology, dual cooling fans, and sealed bearings provide high-quality, low-maintenance, oil-free air.
• Pistons are made of heat-repelling composite resin with piston rings constructed of PTFE material.
• Piston rings have a minimum service life of 10,000 operating hours.
• Each compressor will be equipped with the following components:
  • Isolation valve, check valve, and safety valve.
  • ODP electric motor, drive pulley, belts, and belt guard.
  • Air-cooled aftercooler with moisture separator.
  • T.M.P.D. (Thermal malfunction protection device)
  • Spring isolators.

Receiver tank:

The ASME National Board registered a working pressure of 200 psig. This horizontal air receiver is equipped with:

• Pressure gauge
• Safety valve
• Visual indicator
• Manual and automatic tank drain.
• 3-valve bypass plumbing
• External paint and internal lining to resist corrosion.

Control panel NFPA CONTROL PANEL

• NEMA 12, UL508A listed and labeled with two control transformers with fused primary and secondary circuits.
• The panel has automatic alternation and "in use" reserve alarm with visual and audible indicators.
• All alarms have dry contacts on a labeled terminal strip for remote alarms.
• The panel will provide power for the complete system, including all desiccant dryers, drains, monitors, and alarms, with a single-point electrical connection. Each compressor will be equipped with the following:
  • Disconnect.
  • Magnetic starter.
  • Illuminated HOA switch.
  • High-temperature shutdown with visual and audible alarms.
  • Hour meter.

Air-cooled aftercoolers:

• Aftercoolers mounted on the belt guard are provided for each compressor and are sized for a 15 ºF approach temperature.
• Units are constructed with copper tubes with metallic headers.

Air purification system:

• Dual refrigerated air dryers.
• Dual pre-filters.
• Dual pressure reducing valves with gauges and safety relief valves.
• Automatic dew point dependent switching to reduce purge frequency.

Monitoring equipment:

• CO monitor with audible/visual alarms and dry contacts for remote alarm signal.
• Dew point monitor with audible/visual alarms and dry contacts for remote alarm signal.

System connections:

• The system is supplied with a remote intake connection and flexible connectors for intake and discharge.
• All piping complies with current NFPA 99 requirements.
