The Heuer manual resuscitator is designed to be used as an adjunct to artificial respiration and cardiopulmonary resuscitation. This resuscitator can be used to ventilate apneic patients and to augment ventilation and/or oxygen delivery to spontaneously breathing patients.
The design also differs for adults, children, and infants, using different compression rates, and also comes in different sizes to meet the oxygen needs of all patients.
