The Heuer manual resuscitator is designed for use as an adjunct to artificial respiration and cardiopulmonary resuscitation. This resuscitator can be used to ventilate apneic patients and to increase ventilation and/or oxygen supply to spontaneously breathing patients.
The design also varies for adults, children, or infants by using different compression rates, and they also come in different sizes to meet the oxygen needs of all patients.
