Description:

The MAESTRO L is a descender designed for technical rescue operations. It facilitates the handling of heavy loads, both for lowering and hauling, and can be used simultaneously in a main system or a safety system. This versatility allows rescuers to adapt to all configurations that may be encountered at the intervention site.

  • Highly versatile, ideal for technical rescue:
    • Locking system with integrated rope grab pulley that allows the same device to be used for both lowering and hauling.
    • Can be used simultaneously in a single or double main system and a safety system (more information on this technique in the technical data sheet and technical advice at www.petzl.com).
    • Lower connection point allows for the attachment of different types of haul systems.
    • Hole in the handle allows for installation of a remote control cord.
  • Easy and simple to use:
    • Easy rope installation, thanks to the markings indicated on the device.
    • Ergonomic handle allows for progressive rope release and comfortable descent control.
      Immediate transition from lowering to hauling position, without having to take up the load.
    • AUTO-LOCK system automatically locks the rope when the handle is not in use. Once locked, the rope can be retrieved without manipulating the handle.
  • Efficiency when handling heavy loads:
    • Integrated rope grab pulley, with large diameter sheave and sealed ball bearing, which has a single direction of rotation for excellent hauling performance.
    • Faceted sheave allows for additional friction zones with the rope for extra braking during descent.
    • Integrated brake allows for friction modulation based on load and rope diameter.
    • Handles heavy loads up to 280 kg.
