Features:

• Realistic model of a human torso.
• Can be used in an upright or supine position
• Also has a recessed area posterior to the PICC insertion site for the optional peripheral port (peripheral port not included)
• The base of the recessed area is made of soft material allowing the port to float when accessed
• When placed over the port, the included tissue flap allows for a realistic feel when palpating and accessing

External central catheter:

• Pre-positioned, surgically placed on the right chest
• The subcutaneous tunnel is visible up to and just above the clavicle.
• Distinguishable Dacron® cuff
• The distal end of the catheter is pre-connected to the blood reservoir bag

Implanted vascular access device:

• Located on the left chest under a specially formulated flap designed to simulate real human tissue
• Situated on a rigid underlying surface with molded ribs and a recessed area for interchangeable inserts
• 3 hard-to-access inserts placed under or over the port to simulate palpation and access to a port with one of the following types of locations: normal, tilted, wandering, or deeply placed

Peripheral central catheter:

• Located on the rotated, extended, and detachable right arm
• The double-lumen 5FR PICC exits the slightly elevated basilic vein in the inner right biceps.
• Pre-placed 20G IV catheter in the right forearm. Catheters are pre-connected to a blood reservoir bag. Complete blood draws, heparinization, and fluid infusion while connected or disconnected from the torso.
