The GSI 39 Auto Tymp offers a flexible product for tympanometry, acoustic reflex measurements, and audiometry, to meet your testing needs, today and in the future. The GSI 39 Auto Tymp is lightweight and portable. It is designed to quickly and accurately detect and document middle ear pathologies.

Tympanometry – 226 Hz

• Ear Canal Volume (ECV)
• Peak Compliance (cm3)
• Pressure at Peak Tympanic Membrane (daPa)
• Gradient (GR) in daPa (tympanic membrane width)
• Tympanograms and summary information are clearly displayed on the sharp LCD screen once the test is complete.
• LEDs on the probe guide the tester through the test sequence.
• All results can be printed.
• The ASHA normal box can be displayed as a guide on the screen and printouts, if desired.
• A handheld probe is provided with versions, providing 226 Hz measurements only.

Tympanometry – 1,000 Hz

• Input at +200 daPa (C1)
• Input at peak tympanum (mmhos)
• Pressure at peak tympanum (daPa) A special "combo" probe is supplied with all versions, which combine 226 Hz and 1,000 Hz measurement capabilities.
• An infant normal box can be selected as a guide on the screen and printouts.
• These infant normal values are based on data published by Margolis et al* and represent the 5th%, 50th%, and 95th% of values for full-term infants.

Tympanum and Reflex

• Contralateral and ipsilateral reflex measurements can be performed in conjunction with 226 Hz and 1,000 Hz tympanometry.
• Available frequencies are 500, 1000, 2000, and 4000 Hz for 226 Hz measurements. A 1,000 Hz stimulus (ipsi or contra) is not available with the 1,000 Hz tone.
• All reflex results can be displayed and printed: reflex traces and dB HL values, dB HL values only, and YES/NO responses.
• Any combination of ipsi and contra reflex measurements up to a maximum of 4 frequencies can be selected with the 226 Hz probe tones and the optional 1,000 Hz.
