Description:
Madsen Alpha is a handheld Otoacoustic Emissions screening device, ideal for preschool hearing screenings and patients of all ages. It can also be used for neonates.
Lightweight, accurate, and easy to use

Reduces restlessness and nervousness
- Once the probe is placed in the ear, a single touch starts the test and an entertaining cartoon keeps the child engaged and calm during the test.
The Madsen Alpha OAE + offers eight protocols
- Includes a combination of automatic stop criteria and full frequency range testing.
- The OAE hearing filter comes with a docking station for charging and includes a Print to PDF function.
TE measurement technique:
- Evaluation method: Calculation of mean value with noise weighting, counting significant signal peaks.
- Stimulus: Nonlinear click sequence.
- Stimulus level: 75 dB (A) ± 5dB in 2cc coupler, automatic calibration based on ear canal volume.
- Click frequency: 67-76 clicks per second (random).
- Input filter: 1 to 4 kHz.
- Display: Averaged waveform, number of TEOAE peaks, noise level, artifact level, stability level and test progress.
DP measurement technique:
- Evaluation method: Phase statistics with noise weighting.
