The HVO-550MD stores high-definition or standard-definition video on its internal high-capacity hard drive. Through a simple menu, video can be recorded simultaneously to an external USB drive or network server, or directly to the recorder's internal DVD drive. This simultaneous recording capability saves time by eliminating the need to export or copy video files to other storage media after recording. It also provides additional protection against the risk of losing valuable information.
